Majer Metal Works fabricated powder coated white steel bar tops for Park Cafe & Coffee Bar. They also did the bar face with reclaimed oak and the lighting fixtures made with steel and leather. All were designed by SM+P Architects.
One of my mini-joy in life is to observe people who are passionate about their work. To see creation happen from concept, design, process, then to final execution–genesis. I had the pleasure of photographing Majer Metal Works (www.majermetalworks.com) at work and play. I love being at their shop–sound of machinery, the grinding smell, sparks flying like fireflies. Not to mention the people there are super cool to hang out with. It’s primitively and intellectually beautiful to see things created with one’s hand–simply handsome.

Majer Metal Works is a boutique metal shop located heart of Baltimore, Maryland. They specialize in furnitures, handsome metal hooks, ergonomic bike rack, slick metal rails and etc. One of my favorite is the metal hook set–I can imagine my cast iron skillets being very happy being hooked up. While I observing them working on a project, it was very clear they handle metal with ease like it was origami. They imagine it, quickly sketch it, and “POW!!” its materialized.
